
Position available: CNC Mill Set-Up/Operators: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
Duties include but are not limited to the operation of multiple machines throughout the shift and producing parts within required tolerances. Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Essential Functions Include:
- Responsible for the set up and operation of multiple machines throughout the shift and producing parts within required tolerances.
- Responsible for inspection of precision product utilizing various precision measuring and gauging tools and visual checks.
- Make offset adjustments, adjust tooling, and maintain fluids.
- Develop, machine, and install work holding resulting in quality product manufactured efficiently.
- Check material to ensure correct material is being used per blueprint and job specifications. Knowledge of various materials and differences between each.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and maintaining a clean and safe workstation.
- Communicate with programmers, operators, supervisors, foreman, and other shifts regarding the quality and job status.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with set up and operating a multi-axis CNC machine.
- Ability to call up programs, offset tools and overall knowledge of basic CNC Mill machine operation.
- Fixture design is a plus.
- Possess strong mathematical abilities, verbal/written communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
- Ability to read precision gauges and visual accuracy.
- Ability to produce precision work in a production environment.
- Effective time management skills.
- Advanced critical thinking skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect precision machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery for precision work.
- Physical ability to work requiring continuous standing bending, twisting, and stooping the entire shift.
- Physical strength to lift and carry up to 50lbs. frequently throughout the day.

Position available: Swiss CNC Machine Operator
Description: Produce custom precision parts by operating a multi-axis Swiss-style CNC Machine. Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Essential Functions Include:
- Responsible for the operation of multiple machines throughout the shift and producing parts within required tolerances.
- Responsible for inspection of precision product utilizing various precision measuring and gauging tools and visual checks.
- Make offset adjustments, sharpen, change and adjust tooling, and maintain fluids.
- Operate and load bar feeder and measure bar stock.
- Check material to ensure correct material is being used per blueprint and job specifications. Knowledge of various materials and differences between each.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and maintaining a clean and safe workstation.
- Communicate with set-up person, foreman, and other shifts regarding the quality and job status.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating Swiss-style CNC machines or completion of company apprenticeship program.
- Ability to call up programs, offset tools and overall knowledge of basic CNC machine operation.
- Possess strong mathematical abilities, verbal/written communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T.
- Ability to read precision gauges and visual accuracy.
- Ability to produce precision work.

Secondary Operator
Perform secondary operations of precision parts in accordance with Swiss Automation, Inc. procedures. Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining a clean and safe workstation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the deburring, washing, blasting of turned production.
- Deburr machined parts using the drill press and other hand tools and equipment.
- Obtains work assignments from supervisor, provides supervisor samples of work for approval prior to completing job assignment.
- Responsible for inspection of product utilizing a microscope and various types of gages.
- Responsible for the operation of multiple jobs throughout the day and producing parts to customer specifications and Swiss Automation, Inc. standards.
- Communicate with supervisor, foreman, and other departments regarding the quality and job status.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating drill presses preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred
- Sufficient manual dexterity to handle and manipulate delicate parts and tools.
- Ability to read, write and basic mathematical ability needed to count and take inventory.
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. continuously throughout the day
- Ability to work frequently with gloves and working with a microscope continuously with eye protection
- Requires continuous sitting/standing, bending, twisting and stooping for the entire shift.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires visual acuity (corrected) to read directions and prints and to visually inspect precision machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools and machinery for precision work.
- Physical ability to work requiring continuous bending, twisting and stooping the entire shift and standing or sitting for long periods of time
- Physical strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day.

Thermal Operator
Perform thermal operations of precision parts in accordance with Swiss Automation, Inc. procedures. Maintain quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining a clean and safe workstation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the cleaning parts, using correct fixtures for parts, loading machine, post-run cleaning of parts, and sorting of turned production if necessary.
- Deburr machined parts using the thermal units.
- Maintaining dip tank levels and quality of contents.
- Obtain work assignments from supervisor, provide supervisor samples of work for approval prior to completing job assignment.
- Responsible for inspection of product utilizing a microscope and various types of gauges.
- Responsible for the operation of multiple jobs throughout the day and producing parts to customer specifications and Swiss Automation, Inc. standards.
- Communicate with supervisor, foreman, and other departments regarding the quality and job status.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred
- Sufficient manual dexterity to handle and manipulate delicate parts and tools.
- Ability to read, write and basic mathematical ability needed to count and take inventory.
- Ability to lift 20-40 lbs continuously throughout the day
- Ability to work frequently with gloves and continuously with eye protection
- Requires continuous standing, bending, twisting and stooping for the entire shift.
- Must be able to work in a warm environment due to heat from machines
Physical Requirements:
- Requires visual acuity to read directions and prints and to visually inspect precision machined parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
